William James (Bill Stambaugh) has been writing since his college days. A performer at heart  , he was pulled to the stage at an early age and has never looked back . He is an actor, director, teacher, and coach who preaches self-confidence in his guidance to poets and actors who want to elevate to the next level. As the dark days of Covid-19 were finally fading , he wandered into the theatre his wife was president of and watched a group of poets begin rehearsing for a presentation they were getting ready for , offered to assist in their ‘organization’ of the presentation … and he has been religiously following them ever since.  Now, 3 years after his first evening at the Lizard Lounge, he is a timekeeper/scorekeeper as well as a cohost ( and part-time LL Slam Team coach ) for the Sunday evening festivities each week, and he could not be happier or prouder to be a part of such an amazing community.

He is humbled to be surrounded by such talent, and he owes a huge thank-you to these artists — truly all of them — for bringing him into such an amazing circle…
